Integrative, Mind-body Connection
My core training is in Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy however I work in an integrative manner, drawing from a range of interventions to help foster self-awareness and action meaningful change. Prior to training in psychotherapy, I worked in Health & Social Care, primarily in drug and alcohol recovery and mental health. I have also worked in a children’s home supporting young people who experienced developmental trauma.
I specialise in working with the mind-body connection, drawing from both eastern wisdom and contemporary research to support your healing and growth. I have worked with people experiencing addiction, burnout, complex trauma, relationship difficulties, Functional Neurological Disorder, and other health concerns. I have also supported people through grief, loss, and life transitions including divorce, becoming a parent and retirement.
Whilst it is essential to consider my qualifications and experience, having a sense of who I am as a person is equally important when deciding if I might be the right therapist for you. My approach is underpinned by person-centred and feminist values meaning that I respect and promote individuality and personal power whilst acknowledging that we are inter-connected and inter-dependent, and hold awareness of ways that modern living, societal systems and inequality can confound distress. Authenticity, integrity, and compassion are core personal values meaning that you can expect me to be honest, open, and genuinely invested in the relationship.

I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Associate for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a graduate member of the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI) My work is supervised by a registered clinical supervisor who is bound to the same legal and ethical practice as myself.
