Therapists in Kind

About Our Collective

Therapists In Kind is a Nottingham-based collective of psychotherapists, brought together by shared values of empathy, social justice, and authentic human connection. While each of us offers a unique therapeutic approach and area of expertise, we are united by a commitment to relational, values-driven therapy—where personal experiences are understood within the broader context of society and culture.

One of our shared core values is around equity and non-exploitation within the profession. As such we share therapy rooms on the understanding that we do not profit from each other and are transparent in our agreements. We are a supportive network of people who refer internally based on best fit and availability, and champion each other to thrive within our work.

We have regular peer meetings to provide support and understanding to each other on our personal and professional journeys.

Our Story

Therapists In Kind began as a group of psychotherapists based in Nottingham, brought together by shared values rooted in social justice, care, and community.

Frustrated by the barriers within the psychotherapy profession—such as unpaid labour, high training costs, and a lack of safety for marginalised voices—we set out to do things differently.

Our Mission

To provide inclusive, high-quality psychotherapy rooted in social justice and authentic human connection.

We support diverse individuals through collaborative, personalised care, while fostering a network of therapists committed to mutual support and meaningful change.

Our Vision

A world where therapy is accessible, inclusive, and grounded in values that honour both individual and collective wellbeing.

We envision a therapeutic community where practitioners are supported, marginalised voices are centred, and the political and personal are recognised as deeply intertwined.
